Arthur’s candidacy for Mayor of Stamford and The Future is Brighter campaign were covered by the Stamford Advocate on April 2, 2025. You can read the full article here.

Augustyn on his website said he sees what he calls “antisocial nihilism” in Stamford, which he defines as the belief that “people make the city worse, nothing can be trusted.”

“There’s just so much skepticism and so much dislike of other people,” Augustyn said.

He said there is “immense negativity” in the city and that it has “become so normal” people don’t recognize it.

“This is a choice where you can believe that the future is brighter and work with those people and see them as resources and build something together that everybody’s happy about,” Augustyn said.

Augustyn’s website includes his three main policy goals, which are to “break down the Board of Representatives,” “build a pro-social community” and “conserve Stamford values.”

Hearst Connecticut (owner of the Stamford Advocate) may be skeptical of the origins of Arthur’s candidacy, but you don’t need to believe in time travel to believe THE FUTURE IS BRIGHTER!
